User Guide
We highly recommend you print this page.

The TRAX DataBase contains over 50,000 separate listings of song titles. You can look up titles quickly from any DOS prompt. After you have installed the T.EXE file to the directory of your choice, and expanded it by typing T (enter) at that prompt, you are ready to search titles, artist, or collection titles. We put the database at the DOS (command prompt in windows xp) prompt so that you can get to it easily from your main application with speed to access your song search.

USING THE DATABASE
PUT ON CAPS LOCK KEY (All titles are in caps.)
1. Type the letter "X"
2. Press "Enter"
3. Enter the name of song or artist at the prompt.
4. Press "Enter"

The DataBase consists of a list of titles in the following form (4) items each separated by three (3) underline characters.

i.e.. TITLE__ARTIST__TAPE I.D.__VOLUME DESCRIPTION
e.g. IT HAD TO BE YOU__SINATRA, FRANK__STX1001__FRANK SINATRA VOL. 1
"HAD TO BE"  will list all titles containing the words
"HAD TO BE".

e.g.  "STX1001"  will list all titles associated with that tape or disc.
e.g. "SINATRA, FRANK"  will list all titles by Frank Sinatra .
If you are looking up an entry that has LOTS of listings (several screens), press enter to move to the next screen.
TO PRINT CUSTOM SONGBOOKS:
You can print out an alphabetical list of any disc by song title for your
customers or any combination of disc alphabetically. Here's how:
At the DOS prompt, type TITLES (enter). Follow the instructions on the screen.  Make sure your printer is on. This sort process is rather slow, so please be patient.
